Countertop Measuring Guide

  1. Gather the necessary tools - measuring tape, pen and paper, and a calculator.

  2. Begin by identifying the shape of your existing countertop.
It could be L-shaped, U-shaped, or rectangular. Also make note of any pieces not part of the large main piece including an island

  3. Make a rough sketch of your kitchen to record your measurements on. Again Make sure to include all the Pieces that comprise your kitchen.

  4. Measure the length of the longest side of your countertops. Start from the left or right edge of the countertop, at the back of the countertop, and measure to the opposite edge. Record this measurement.

  5. If you have a L-shape countertop measure the length of both sides of the L shape.

  6. If you have a U shape countertop, measure the overall length of the middle section and then also the length of both sides of the U countertop.

  7. Measure the depth. Start from the front edge of the countertop and measure to the back wall. Or if you have a peninsula or open bar area just measure overall width and define the sections that would need polished.

  8. Once you have done this feel free to take a picture of it and email it to us or fill out the form here on our website and we will get back to with a estimate.
